Story
A member of the GUARDIANS Investigation Section. Because she specializes in intelligence-related missions, Lou has special equipment that other Guardians do not. For the sake of her special missions, she has been programmed not to exhibit excess emotion. When necessary, she shares pertinent information, but there is something about her that Ethan can't quite put his finger on.
Random facts
- Lou was created as a copy-CAST. Multiple Lou units were scattered about the Gurhal system gathering intelligence and could collectively synchronize important information across all Lou units. However, due to the high processing load this caused and to avoid the risk of compromising a mission, they were unable to comprehend human emotion and typically discarded any information or memories that were considered unimportant or irrelevant to the mission.
- Despite this, a handful of Lou units have been capable of showing some degree of emotion such as sadness and love under certain circumstances after interacting with Ethan Waber and the player character.
- As of the end of Episode 3 and during Phantasy Star Portable 2, only one Lou remains active. The rest have been irreparably damaged, destroyed or deactivated due to varying circumstances over the course of PSU's story.
- This Lou has learned to understand and feel human emotion, as well as gained her own sense of individuality. This is likely from all of the synchronized experiences of the other Lou units including her own, as well as now being the sole Lou left.
- Lou sometimes loses her hat. Lou units seen without their hat include:
- The Lou unit lost during Episode 1.
- The Lou unit with Lumia Waber during Shadow of the Arkguard.
- The Lou unit found during Episode 3.
- The Lou unit with Rol Medoc during The Egg Thieves.
- In the story mission Farewell to Mother 2, the Lou unit who lost her hat admits to being the one who studied Ethan Waber, as well as being in love with him.
