Revision as of 23:57, 23 March 2022
Hardcore Mode is a new way to play Phantasy Star Universe: Clementine as of March 2022! Much of the Clementine experience remains the same, but EXP, MP, PA levelling rates and drop rates are boosted; however, if your character dies without a Scape Doll, it is deleted!
Most of the information on this wiki is still applicable to Hardcore Mode, but specific details are in effect which will be detailed below.
Creating a Hardcore Mode account

Hardcore Mode accounts are separate from regular Clementine accounts - you cannot have Hardcore characters on a regular account and vice versa. To create a Hardcore Mode account, first update the Clementine launcher, which is available here. Extract this into your Clementine folder over the existing online.exe, then open the launcher.
Click the Account button, fill in your details, and choose "Hardcore" from the Account Type dropdown. Fill in the rest of the information, click "Register", and then your account will be created; you can then launch the game and login with the username you chose.
Hardcore Mode specifics
Characters created on Hardcore Mode accounts will have their names appear in purple text. Hardcore Mode characters can only interact with other Hardcore Mode characters, which includes joining parties and trading. Hardcore Mode characters can also not be revived with Giresta or Moon Atomizers, so be sure to always carry a Scape Doll!
- Only one Scape Doll can be held in a Hardcore Mode character's inventory.
- Mission rank is lowered when a character dies, even if a Scape Doll is used.
- If a Hardcore Mode character dies without a Scape Doll, the character is deleted immediately and you will be disconnected from the server.
- If a Hardcore Mode character over lv100 dies, a banner will be broadcast to all players of all modes, detailing their level at the time of death, and what enemy they died to.
Hardcore Mode boosts
All characters in Hardcore Mode are subject to the following boosts:
- 2x EXP (which stacks with all other regular EXP boosts)
- 2x MP
- 2x Drop rate
- 2x Mission Clear Meseta rewards
- 4x PA EXP
- 1.35x Rare Mission award rate
- 1.5x Rare Enemy spawn rate
Everything else is pretty much the same
There hasn't been any Hardcore Mode-specific rebalancing, so the rest of the information on the wiki should be relevant to Hardcore Mode players! Hope you enjoy the new mode and don't die to a Pannon late on...
